Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use Drishya ("Service," operated by Ghimire Labs), we collect:

• Account information — email address, display name, and profile photo via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google sign-in);
• Content you submit — topics, prompts, source text/URLs, uploaded PDFs and images, and settings like voice and theme choices;
• Generated content — the videos, scripts, and narration audio the Service produces for you, and, if you choose to save a video, its title and visibility;
• Usage & billing data — plan, credit balance and usage, generation history (recent topics), and subscription/payment status via Stripe;
• Technical data — basic request metadata needed to operate the Service (e.g. timestamps, error logs).

2. How We Use Information

• To generate the videos, scripts, and narration you request;
• To operate your account, enforce plan/credit limits, and process billing through Stripe;
• To maintain your generation history and saved videos on your dashboard;
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse;
• To communicate with you about your account or changes to the Service;
• To improve Drishya's prompts, reliability, and output quality.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party AI Processors

Generating a video requires sending relevant parts of your topic and any source material you provide to one or more AI processors, depending on how the request is configured:

• Anthropic (Claude) — default provider for scene planning and scripts;
• Google (Gemini / Vertex AI) — alternate model provider, selectable in settings;
• OpenAI — alternate model provider, selectable in settings, including custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints you configure;
• ElevenLabs — converts narration scripts to speech audio;
• Exa — optional neural search used to ground content in real sources, if you supply an Exa API key.

These providers act as data processors for the specific request they handle and are bound by their own terms and privacy policies. We only send the data necessary to fulfill your generation request — we do not send your account email or billing information to these providers.

4. Sharing

We share personal information only with:

• The AI processors listed above, to generate your content;
• Stripe, to process payments (Stripe receives your payment details directly — we never see your full card number);
• Google Firebase, our infrastructure provider for authentication, database, and file storage;
• Other users, only for content you explicitly mark "Public" (visible on DrishyaTube) or share via a direct link;
• Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law.

5. Storage & Security

Account data, generation history, and saved videos are stored using Google Firebase (Firestore database and Cloud Storage). Rendering happens on Google Cloud Run. We apply access controls (Firebase Authentication, per-user data rules) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure — see Section 11.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Drishya uses essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in (via Firebase Authentication) and to remember your preferences (e.g. voice, theme, render quality) in your browser's local storage. We also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and how the product is used (e.g. pages visited, animations generated, plan upgrades); this sets analytics cookies and collects information such as your IP address, browser, device, and pages visited. We do not sell this data or use it for third-party advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it (e.g. billing records for tax/accounting purposes).

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@ghimirelabs.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and verify your identity before acting on the request.

9. Children's Privacy

Drishya is intended for users 13 and older. Users between 13 and 18 should only use the Service with a parent or guardian's involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@ghimirelabs.com and we will delete the account.

10. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure and third-party processors may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you consent to your data being processed in these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including Firebase Authentication, per-user access rules on our database and storage, and encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where required, we'll provide additional notice.
